EndoClot

EndoClot® PHS is the innovative technique for hemostasis in endoscopy. The AMP® particles obtained in a patented manufacturing process extract water from blood extremely fast. Thus the clotting process is accelerated and the protective gel matrix enables a reliable hemostasis – especially in cases where conventional methods can not be applied.

With EndoClot® Adhesive MICRO-TECH expands the range for reliable hemostasis in endoscopy. The system enables to spray adhesive haemostatic polymers (AHP) in powder form efficient, safe and directly onto the wound. The particles form a protective gel matrix in a very short time, that stopps bleeding and seals lesions. In comparison to the established EndoClot® AMP® the new EndoClot® AHP adheres to the wound for a particularly long time and is resistant to acids and bases thanks to its synthetic composition.

SUCCESSFUL HEMOSTASIS ACCORDING TO ESD AND EMR

EndoClot® AHP is particularly suitable for prophylaxis. After ESD, it was sprayed onto the wound. Four days after the operation, a gastroscopy was performed for diagnosis. At this point, the gel matrix still adhered to the lesion and protected it reliably. EndoClot® Adhesive should always be used after the intervention.

APPLICATOR

The applicator is composed of a powder/air mixing chamber, a delivery catheter and connecting tube with an air filter including integrated non-return valvewhich is attached to the EndoClot® Air Compressor.

AIR COMPRESSOR

EndoClot® Air Compressor is the recommended air source for use with the EndoClot® Adhesive System.

  • Two pressure settings (high and low) – to provide more control of delivery
  • Small and lightweight – to allow easy placement on a nearby cart
  • Optional cordless operation using rechargeable batteries (up to 7 hours)
  • Low battery indicator (additional 25 minutes running time after the indicator blinks) – to maintain efficient workflow

EASY PREPARATION AND HANDLING

Before performing the procedure, please ensure that the air compressor for dispensing the AHP particles is switched on and ready for operation.

Connect the application system to the air compressor. Make sure that the air compressor is set to “H“.

Attach the AHP particle container firmly to the end of the mixing chamber and keep it upright.

Insert the catheter through the working channel of the endoscope and position the catheter in the direction of the bleeding. Avoid direct contact of the catheter tip with liquids and/or mucosa. A distance of approx. 1cm to the bleeding is to be preferred.

Position the catheter in front of the bleeding site and tilt the particle container for application at a 45° angle. Tap gently on the container to apply the particles to the bleeding by means of the air flow. When hemostasis is achieved, turn off the air compressor and remove the catheter from the endoscope.
